Shopify x Imaginary forces

Objective

Partner with Shopify to launch the latest Shopify Editions campaign through a playful and visually engaging experience that highlighted 100+ new platform updates. The goal was to reinforce Shopify as a trusted partner for modern entrepreneurs by simplifying complex business tools into an accessible and exciting narrative.

Role

Collaborated closely with illustrators to translate storyboard concepts into fully realized 3D environments. Responsibilities included 3D modeling, texturing, lighting, and animation across four scenes, while also working with fellow animators to create transitions that maintained a cohesive visual flow. Additionally, adapted and reworked campaign assets for social media and promotional content.

Outcome

Delivered an animated campaign that transformed product updates into an immersive journey through entrepreneurship, celebrating the excitement of building a brand while showcasing Shopify’s expanding ecosystem of customizable business solutions. The campaign helped position Shopify Editions as both innovative and approachable for new and existing business owners.

Microsoft - Laundry

Partner with Shopify to launch the latest Shopify Editions campaign through a playful and visually engaging experience that highlighted 100+ new platform updates. The goal was to reinforce Shopify as a trusted partner for modern entrepreneurs by simplifying complex business tools into an accessible and exciting narrative.

Worked alongside a team of 3D artists to develop a visual style that felt playful, yet authentic to famous landmarks. Through exploration and trial and error, we tested different materials, proportions, and lighting approaches to refine a stylistic direction. In addition, we developed a template that would ensure all assets had the same scale, object base, shadows, and lighting set up.

Created multiple sets of landmarks for different cities around the world, while also helping set up the infrastructure for a cohesive and scalable system. This allowed the visual style to be expanded across new locations by other artists while keeping the overall look consistent

Resorts World LV - NEON

RWLC - Digital Kitchen - Sid Lee

To develop one animation within a series of visually distinct show concepts for Resorts World Las Vegas, each with its own theme, story, and visual style. The goal was to use animation to create an immersive entertainment experience that could live across large-scale digital surfaces.

Concepted the look of the 3D environments for Neon Space, as well as look development for how Cheddar the cat could translate into a 3D character. Modeled and animated the 3D scenes, along with transitional moments that were built through video editing. I also helped define key visual moments that supported the audio track, while working with large-format files and a complex delivery template for final output.

Created Neon Space, one of five unique show experiences for Resorts World Las Vegas. The final animation was displayed across multiple interion and exterior surfaces throughout the hotel, including a 360-degree sphere.

Super Saturday Night

AT&T - Direct Tv - Samsung

To develop a visual identity for Super Saturday Night 2018, an exclusive Super Bowl event hosted by AT&T and DIRECTV, featuring a live performance by Jennifer Lopez. The goal was to create an event experience that connected the energy of J.Lo’s music and performance with the AT&T brand.

Developed and art directed the key visuals that helped drive the branding across the event. Early concepts explored ideas centered around music, movement, and energy before landing on a design which featured lush flowers and leaves, as a tribute to the Puerto Rico hurricane relief effort J.Lo was supporting during the event.

Created visuals for the Super Saturday Night Jennifer Lopez concert at The Armory in Minneapolis. The key visuals helped define the overall event branding and were applied across promotional materials, invitations, red carpet photo backdrops, lounge projections, DJ backdrops, social content, immersive installations, 3D holographic walls, and more. The final result was a cohesive visual world that gained strong audience and media attention.

Secret - Wieden + Kennedy - BUCK

To create a playful CG and live-action spot for Secret that highlighted the convenience of their pint-sized roll-on deodorant. The goal was to show how the product could easily fit into a busy, fast-paced day while keeping the tone light, energetic, and fun

To create web and social media assets for the Nike By You team, supporting various campaigns and collaborations. Each promotion had its own unique visual expression, requiring net new design and animation tailored to the specific collab partner.

Worked as a designer, editor, and animator for the Nike By You team, tasked with concepting new ideas and adapting existing campaigns into promotional materials. Utilized 2D and 3D animation, in-house photo/video assets, and external animation files to bring each campaign’s visual direction to life.

Young Latin & Proud

Helado Negro - Wieden + Kennedy

To create a music video for Helado Negro that supported the song’s personal reflection on youth, Latino identity, and pride. The goal was to build a visual world that felt intimate, contemporary, and emotionally honest, while incorporating Latino-inspired visuals through patterns, florals, and typography.

Worked as a 2D designer and animator, creating a library of animated assets used throughout the pattern animations, as well as designing and animating lyric typography synced to the music. In addition, assisted with keying and stylization of video footage to support the overall visual direction.
